Spring Pep Rally

At the end of the winter sports season, Omaha North High held a Pep rally. The pep rally was held on March 29, 2024, at 2:30 pm, to say goodbye to the winter sports and to welcome in the new spring sports.  

The pep rally was in the Multipurpose Center (MPC). Each grade level had a colorful banner with a theme on it informing the corresponding students where to sit.  

The pep rally started with introducing the winter sports and all their accomplishments throughout the season such as girls’ and boys’ basketball, girls and boys wrestling, weightlifting, swimming and bowling. In particular they highlighted new personal records and making it to state. 

Next there were different activities and performances such as a performance from the North High Drill team, following the Omega sQuires. 

Throughout the pep rally there were T-shirts being launched into the bleachers for students to catch.  

There was a TikTok dance competition between three teachers and three students. Where there were different TikTok sounds played and they all had to dance to them. The teachers were Logan Thurston, Cherese Ashby and Marquita Bowden. The students were Teriana Taylor, 12, Aytiana Bennett, 12 and Natalie Harrold ,12. The crowd cheered after each person danced to see who the winning team was. In the end, the teachers won.  

Lastly there was a relay race between a handful of teachers and students. There was who can dress the fastest in the basketball jersey, pop the balloon, get the whole team through the Hula hoop, spin around the baseball bat and lastly make a free throw. At the end of the competition, the students won.
