Since November of the 2018-2019 school year, Omaha North’s Track and Field team has been conditioning weekly for those who plan to be a part of the upcoming spring season.

“The primary goal the team is trying to meet this year is to get as many team members to state as possible,” coach Michaela Dailey said.

In individual events, the top four athletes in each district qualify for state.

For relays, the top three in each district qualify and the next four fastest times overall qualify. For field events, there is a certain mark each athlete must hit to qualify or must be top four in the district.

The first meet of the season was at Doane College on Mar. 22 and the second was Mar. 29 at Bryan High School.
