African American History Challenge is a competition that is over the general history of African Americans. The group sponsored by John Jackson, doesn’t start meeting until October. However, once the meetings start,
there will be several days students will want to keep open if you want to join.

The basis of the competition is that there are three competitors, two answering questions, and one alternate, will be competing against other Omaha Public Schools High Schools. Competitors receive questions to study during Saturday sessions once a month at Monroe Middle School.

Jackson encourages, “Competing in this competition is a great way to expose any student regardless of race, to explore African American history, and the huge role it played in American history.”
