Fall is one of my favorite times of year, second to summer. School starts, the temperature begins to drop, and the leaves turn red and orange. Every year I look forward to the fall season because there are so many things to be excited for, like Valas Pumpkin Patch opening, homecoming, school football games, and of course, the Starbucks Fall Menu.
I still remember trying the Iced Pecan Oat Milk Latte last year. This was my first drink on the Starbucks fall menu, and it became something I looked forward to this year. This drink had the perfect amount of flavor for an iced coffee, especially for someone who thinks the taste of coffee is bitter. The cold foam and the crunch topping added the perfect touch and made the drink even more delicious.
One thing that is nice about this menu is they have a variety of items, whether the customer is a coffee drinker or not, or prefer food over drinks, they will likely find something they enjoy.
Nevayah Zomahoun, 12, who usually gets the Strawberry Açaí Refresher because she does not like coffee, decided to try the Pumpkin Cream Iced Chai Latte.
“I was not initially excited for the fall menu to come out because I thought it was all coffee, but when I saw it had things like chai tea, I thought I would like that,” said Zomahoun.
This drink is one of the more popular items on the menu. If you are looking for a non coffee iced drink, this drink is perfect. It is understandable why the drink is so popular, because it tastes like an iced pumpkin milkshake. The drink is very sweet, so it might be best to get a smaller size because it is so filling.
“I liked the drink and would definitely try it again although it was a little heavy,” said Zomahoun.
If you are an iced coffee fan, there are even more options to choose from. You can go with the Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte, which might be a little overrated, but still very good. You could also try the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, which is Starbucks’ cold brew coffee sweetened with vanilla syrup. This drink is not my favorite, because it does not have the most flavor, but it is not completely horrible.
However, if iced coffee isn’t your thing and you are looking for more of a hot drink as the weather gets colder, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is always a good choice. I usually go for cold coffee drinks, but this is something I would tolerate, along with a new item, the Pumpkin Oat Milk Cortado, which is just a hot version of the Iced Pecan Crunch Oat Milk Latte.
The fall menu does not have any new items other than the Pumpkin Oat Milk Cortado. A new addition to the full menu was made in the food category, which was the Italian Sausage Egg Bites. These taste pretty good but have a weird soggy texture. They may not be for everyone, but they are a pretty good addition to the menu.
While I have not liked every drink on the menu I have tried, I sure enjoyed all of the food items. The Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin is absolutely delicious and has the perfect sweet fall flavor. The Baked Apple Croissant is my favorite food item. It tastes the best when they are freshly baked, otherwise they are still pretty good. It’s the perfect size and tasted just like a mini homemade apple pie.
So, as you cuddle up in your living room, while you rewatch Gilmore Girls or your favorite fall movie, any item on this menu would be a perfect addition to enhance your fall experience.
