Guess who got influenced by Tik Tok once again? Since the start of September, I have been getting countless Tik Toks of people trying different fall snacks from Trader Joe’s. I tried to outrun the cravings but fell victim to the thought of pumpkin spice and maple. As the weather gets cooler, the leaves start to change color, I can tell that fall is in the air. Also, pumpkin patches are opening for the season. Not to forget the beginning of the spooky festivities and stores decorating with the welcoming fall presence and fall treats.
Before this Trader Joe’s trip, I would occasionally go to the store. Before, I did not have a purpose but this time I was on a mission. Whenever I think of Trader Joe’s, I think of a lot healthier food options to my favorite foods. Also, the countless flower arrangements that are in every color of the rainbow. Plus, their wide array of fruits, vegetables, chips, and cheese that you can choose from.
Trader Joe’s has a wide variety of flavors like pumpkin, apple, maple, caramel and cinnamon for the season. Fall is my favorite season, which adds to why I thought it would be so important to try these exceedingly popular treats with so many limited time flavors.
As I walked into the fall-filled Trader Joe’s, I was hit in the face by the overwhelming comforting smells of cinnamon and pumpkin. I expected that there would be swarms of people as it is various times that I have gone. To my surprise there was not. There were over 20 fall snacks to choose from.
I gravitated towards the TikTok snacks which included the Pumpkin Spiced Teeny Tiny Pretzels, the Spooky bats & Cats Sour Gummy candies, Pumpkin flavored Joe-Joes and Maple and Sea Salt Kettle popcorn. These are just a few of their fall snacks, ranging from sweet treats to salty and savory. Some of the options I did not choose were Maple Spiced Nut Mix, Pumpkin O’s, Apple shortbread Cookies, Organic Maple Butter, and Fall Leaf Tortilla Chips. I did not choose these snacks because there were so many options.
The Pumpkin Spiced Teeny Tiny Pretzels
The Pumpkin Spiced Pretzels are a classic mini pretzel which is crunchy and salty. They are then covered in sweet pumpkin spice flavored yogurt that just melts in your mouth. To top it off, pumpkin seeds are lightly sprinkled on top which bring on the fall flavor. The saltiness of the pumpkin seeds and pretzel and the sweetness of the pumpkin yogurt both balance out to make the perfect small snack size treat. These teeny tiny pretzels will have you hooked. I literally ate half the bag in one sitting. The Pumpkin Spiced Teeny Tiny Pretzels are $3.49. Overall, I would rate the Pumpkin Spiced Teeny Tiny Pretzels a ten out of ten.
Spooky Bats & Cats Gummy Candies
The sour gummy candies are a classic sweet and sour gummy with crystallized sugar coating on the outside of the treat. They are shaped into bats and cats for a fun spooky spin on their classic gummy candies. There are three different colors of candies green, orange, and purple candies with all assorted flavors. The purple gummy candy had a remarkably familiar taste of cough syrup but was cherry flavored. The green colored gummy had a distinct apple flavor easily bringing to mind caramel apples. Lastly the orange flavor, easily being my favorite, had a very subtle and sweet orange flavor. I was shocked that the orange ended up being my favorite. The Spooky Bats and Cat’s gummy candies were $3.49. Overall, I would rate the Spooky Bats and Cats Gummy Candies a six out of ten.
Pumpkin Flavored Joe-Joe’s
The Pumpkin Flavored Joe-Joe’s are a pumpkin flavored cookie wafer on the outside and a pumpkin flavored crème filling, that resemble Oreos. This sweet pumpkin flavored cookie is perfect for pairing with milk. These sweet fall cookies are $2.99 dollars for each 10.5-ounce box. Overall, I would give the pumpkin flavored Joe-joes an eight out of ten.
Maple and Sea Salt Kettle Popcorn
The Maple and Sea Salt Popcorn had a bold flavor of maple that at once brought me to the thought of fall and pumpkin patches. The sea salt is very subtle but noticeable when eating. It makes the snack more enjoyable because it offers a break-up from all of the sweetness. The salty and sweet mix extremely well together making a great fall snack. This popcorn was $2.99. Overall, I would give this popcorn an eight out of ten.
With the influence of TikTok once again, I tried some of the newest popular snacks to get me into the fall spirit. I would recommend buying all of these fall treats but especially the Pumpkin Spiced Teeny Tiny Pretzels and the Pumpkin Flavored Joe-Joe’s.
